LotrakŪ 609 : Installation

Geotextiles of all types can be damaged during installation. The placement of aggregate upon a fabric can cause damage but this can be minimised by good installation practices.

Lotrak InstallationProtective packaging should not be removed until the fabric is required to be installed. Any sizeable voids remaining in the ground should be filled. Do not stretch fabric taut over any hollows. Adjacent rolls, side by side, should be overlapped by a minimum of 300mm. Adjacent rolls, length by length, should be overlapped by a minimum of 600mm. Should Geotextile be damaged during installation a further layer of Geotextile should be placed over the damaged area with a minimum overlap of 1000mm. On no account should any vehicle drive directly on top of the Geotextile. It is recommended that a 150mm thickness of fill be placed on the Geotextile prior to any compaction and/or trafficking.
