Technical Textiles Profile
Don & Low Wovens was founded in 1792, initially as manufacturer of linen and flax fabrics and later jute. Located in Forfar, Scotland, the Company produces a wide range of quality polypropylene yarns and industrial textiles for a variety of markets including carpet backing, geotextiles, agritextiles, horticulture and construction.
In January 2011, the Wovens division was re-branded as the Technical Textiles division.
With our continued development into new market areas with products such as Armordon®, our self-reinforcing polypropylene, the re-branding more accurately reflects the current function, and future direction of the Company.
The Company produces over 40 tonnes of yarn and approximately 5 million square metres of fabric per week, utilising three different extrusion technologies, and over 240 weaving looms. Geographical markets extend from North America through Europe to the Middle East and Australasia.
Quality is the hallmark of Don & Low and is evidenced in our products and pre and post sales customer service.
All products are manufactured under BS EN ISO 9001.
